Interview: Aaron Rodriguez of Ovid's Withering.

Just to make it clear this Interview was taken on August 6th 2012.Sorry for the delay.  I've just been slacking I suppose, due to being under the weather & all.

Interview with Aaron Rodriguez, guitarist & composer, of Ovid's Withering.

1. "Is this Ovid's first show since "The Metal Showcase" (May 13th)

Aaron: "Yup"

2. How are you guys feeling about the show that is taking place this Friday? (August 10th) at the Local 662??

Aaron: "It'll be fun."

3. Have you guys been working on any new material?

Aaron: "Well the album, musically is about 90%  written... right now all I'm doing is going back & touching up & changing parts here & there...& writing all the lyrics.

4. In your opinion what do you feel are more important? Lyrics, music or both?

Aaron: Both I am more proud of our lyrics than anything, but ... since people rarely take the time to read , I'd say the music is definitely important too lol.

5. For those whom are interested in reading Ovid's lyrics where might they find them?

Aaron: www.lyricswithering.blogspot.com

6.Ovid's Withering has one EP out entitled "The Cloud Gatherer", is the new material going to be a full length album?

Aaron: "We plan on releasing one full length & simultaneously working on an EP of a different style...... That EP is entitled "Terraphage"

7.Any idea when fans can expect said release?

Aaron: "We have our own ideas & goals...... but we won't make it official until we know for sure it will happen."

8. What can fans expect from the new material?

Aaron: Every song has a completely different story & every story has a completely different mood. So...I would say they can expect it to feel like watching a really long, but bad ass movie.

9. When writing are are there ever specific vibes you wish to capture?

Aaron: "Meaningful. Dramatic. Theatrical. Dark. & most importantly.....EPIC.

10. Do you feel that your  sound had evolved over the length of time that Ovid's has been established?

Aaron: "Oh a ton. When I started, we only wanted keys as a background/filler. Now......our orchestral parts are what makes us who we are.

11. Lastly, where can those reading this find Ovid's Withering work??

Aaron: www.ovidswithering.comhttps://www.facebook.com/ovidswithering
