Divided we stand, United we fall.
So check it!! I've just seen not one, but two posts from people bashing, bad mouthing, and just flat out talking shit about another band. I'LL SAY THIS ONCE. I will not be associated with DRAMA!!! I don't wish to know or be seen with individuals who are apart, or cause it!
If you play with a band that are complete assholes (and it happens) let them be assholes. They will soon find that no bands will want to play with or want to help them out and BAM! They're fucked. Do you guys not understand that the scene is fucking fizzeling out? All we have is each other dude. Some of you honestly take this shit a bit too serious! What ever happen to just playing for fun? Playing for the love of music?
I, personally would think that bands would be a little closer, be a little more supportive of one another. & have a shit load more respect for their fellow brethren. Isn't it bad enough that some of the venues are pretty much bold face refusing to pay you guys?? Why worry about the venues fucking you, when you guys are letting the issues start from the inter sanctum?? You're letting it slowly eat its way through, infecting EVERYTHING it comes across.
What is with all the hatred? A band gets signed and instead of congratulations & words of encouragement, people automatically have to nit pick or talk shit. Stop with the negativity people!! It honestly gets you NO WHERE!!! Back to the whole venues not paying bullshit! I've spoken to a few people in the last week who feel the exact same way, & all honestly I feel that YOU the BANDS should boycott the venues. Don't play them for a month or so. Think about it bands are pretty much the sole reason some of these venues even stay open in the first place. Without YOU the MUSICIANS venues would cease to be. So a little advice from yours truly: get your heads out of your asses, its not a competition so stop being so serious, start being more positive, & lets show the the planet, just why we're the Death Metal capital of the world! WE HAVE TO STAY UNITED!

Prefect way to put it! You are right! I totally agree about the drama and unnecessary negative comments that are said in the scene. Its basically embarrassing to see how kiddish some musicians/others act when a fellow band starts to succeed. Also this whole thing about venues not paying is messed up! I hear about it all the time. The reason why me and my friends go to the shows is bc of the music. In other words certain bars would not be my first choice to go to if I wanted a drink. Hopefully they start to realize that others feel the same. The bands boycotting for a month all locations will show them how fast their revenue will drop in a month without having live music.
